When it comes to building your bicycle, it's a personal matter. Getting color, spec and every detail just right is so important, that's why when we were approached by Dan to assist with his vintage Trek conversion we were excited. At Fyxation we're known for customizing our own builds to suit riders needs, so to get the chance to work on a frame with a great history and outfit it with full Fyxation kit couldn't be passed up....

OK so the dust has finally settled and we're ready to give our full race recap of the inaugural Fyxation Open fixed gear street crit that took place this last weekend in Chicago, IL.  Before we get too deep into the details, we wanted to send out a quick thanks to the guys over at the Prairie State Cycling Series for putting on a great event and for taking a chance and letting us host a fixed gear street crit on the Chicago Criterium course.  There was a lot of behind the scenes planning to pull this off...

Well we just got back from the inaugural Fyxation Open fixed gear street crit in Chicago and it was AWESOME!  We are still trying get our act together and plan on doing a proper blog post with the full report and details. In the meantime, enjoy a few of the pictures that we captured at this exciting race. For a first year event, we couldn't have been happier with the rider and fan turnout. Chicago is a great venue for a street crit and we can't wait to bring the event back next year...

For those of lucky enough to live here in Milwaukee (no seriously) there is one local business that I feel pretty much defines the cool things that are happening here in this great city.  Colectivo Coffee started off in 1993 as what was then known as Alterra Coffee.  Throughout the years they slowly expanded their presence here in Milwaukee with a combination of hard work, great coffee and super cool coffee shops that were located in the best spots around town.  This is pretty impressive...

We are less than 2 weeks away from the inaugural Fyxation Open street crit that will be held right in the heart of downtown Chicago during the Prairie State Cycling Series Chicago Criterium and the stoke is building.  Pre-registration is now closed and we sold out nearly half of the available spots.  In total 75 riders will be able to participate in the race and we're expecting a full field on the day of the race.

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the first annual Fyxation Open fixed gear criterium in Chicago, IL on July 26th, 2014. This high energy fixed gear only criterium will be held in conjunction with the Chicago Criterium on day 7 of the Prairie State Cycling Series Intelligentsia Cup and will be held just prior to the men's pro main event at 5:50PM. Over $1500 in cash, prizes and primes are up for grabs during the Open and with a field limit of only 75 riders space will fill up quickly!
