What's a fat bike?

Fat bikes are basically mountain bikes that have been designed to fit very large tires. These larger tires are designed to run at a very low pressure which gives you extra surface area and provides plenty of traction in snow, slush or ice. Typical mountain bike tires average around 2" in width and fat bike tires run as large as 4.6". That extra surface area gives you excellent traction and float on the snow and really lets you go places on a bike you never thought possible.
