One of our favorite things here at Fyxation is working with brands to design and manufacture custom bikes for their businesses. We've been doing this since 2012 when we introduced our first bike model and it's really amazing to see how great these projects turn out. We have the ability to do simple corporate branding on bikes using graphics or decals or we can do large production runs with bikes truly designed for each customer.
Ever since we introduced the Eastside in 2012, we continue to improve upon this tried and true design. It's not that there's anything wrong with the original Eastside, it's just that here at Fyxation we're always moving. New for 2018, the Eastside Fade is our best work yet...
We are pleased to introduce the newest bike in the Fyxation family, the Pixel. This is actually more of a re-introduction of a popular model that we first introduced in 2013. We retired the Pixel in 2016 when we launched the Eastside Divide Series bikes but we always had plans to bring the Pixel back. The Eastside is a great bike but the Pixel is designed as an entry level singlespeed that anyone could afford a bike that was a reliable and durable alternative to the cheap fixed gear bikes that are available on the Internet...
Our Mesa MP pedals just turned 6 and to celebrate we are launching 3 limited edition colors of these great platform pedals. Originally designed for our urban customer, the Mesa MP has been embraced by a huge cross section of cyclists from fat bikers to mountain bikers. These thin bodied and durable nylon thin platform pedals, were one of the first pedals on the market to offer riders an affordable and durable alternative to sealed bearing alloy flat pedals. Retailing at only $59.95, these thin platform pedals offer a great wide platform and are suited for many styles of riding....
We just wrapped up our 4th consecutive CABDA Expo down in the Chicago area and as always, we wanted to post a quick recap here on our blog. CABDA has become an important event on our calendar and the show is a great way for us to connect with existing Fyxation dealers, meet with new potential shops and to catch up with friends in the bike industry. We are already looking forward to next year's show and can't wait to come back for year 5....
When winter comes around, most people put their bikes away for the season and turn to their indoor trainers or worse, become couch surfers. There is however, a large contingent of cyclists that don't fear the elements and actually embrace it. These tough souls will ride year round regardless of the conditions outside which requires gear that are as tough as they are. Introducing the Mesa MP Subzero pedal...
We recently had the opportunity to be a part of an amazing effort from Wish List MKE to fill empty storefronts here in Milwaukee during the holidays with carefully designed window displays from five local businesses. Retailers have been closing at a record pace the last few years and Milwaukee, like many other cities, has a number of vacant buildings in what used to be highly desirable retail locations. Wish List MKE set out to change that, even if only for a short time during the holiday season...
Terrene may be one of the newer tire brands on the scene, but they continue to turn out great tread patterns and feature packed tires. With the introduction of the Cake Eater, Terrene now has two solid options for your fat bike.
It is hard for me to stop thinking about this year’s Tour de Chequamegon, the 112 mile bikepacking weekend we just put on with Fyxation. On at least three occasions since we got back, I have cracked a beer and relived it looking through all 200 plus photos at the 2017 Gallery page. You can also download the photos and even order prints from the Bike Fed’s Photoshelter Gallery of the same images.
