Fyxation 3 Speed City Bike

We've been busy cranking out a lot of custom builds recently but this latest bike has been one of our favorites.

We were recently contacted by a rider in New York that was looking for a unique city bike that could handle commuting and riding around Brooklyn and NYC year round.  He wanted to have an internal geared bike that gave him the option of gears when they were needed but also because he liked the clean, derailleur free look of an internal gear hub.  Now most people think that New York is a flat city where you only need one gear but after having recently ridden our Eastside around the city for a few days there were times (climbing the Brooklyn Bridge) where I found myself looking for a bit more.  Puncture resistant city tires were a must on this build for riding on New York's rough city streets.  To finish it of the customer wanted a nice rack and waterproof pannier for his daily commute and weekend adventures.

Like any custom bicycle build we worked with the customer and dialed in the bike spec based on his needs and budget and we couldn't have been more pleased with the final results.  Here are the details and some excellent photos outside Fyxation HQ.  Enjoy!
